Steve Collett, also known as Steve Rockett, is an industry legend when it comes to racing games. Not only has he contributed sound design to a variety of titles, but he's also composed for many of them too. After an established career writing music for Super Nintendo and Game Boy classics, Steve first entered the hi-octane driving genre with MotoGP 2 (2003), which featured his band - V8 Pack - on the soundtrack.

Though their album, At the Earth's Core, was licensed by Climax Racing, Steve soon began contributing entirely originally music, such as his work on the similarly styled Crash 'n' Burn (2004). But, he was able to explore a lot of different sounds too - particularly through Speed Kings (2003) and The Italian Job (2003), which saw him move into more electronic (and sometimes downright funky) territory.

Steve is by no means defined by his music for racing games, having composed for an impressive list of diverse titles. But, he has continued his association with the genre into more modern releases, like CSR Racing (2012) and Race Kings (2016). The soundtracks to all of these games are presented here - completely free - in the highest possible quality.

These uploads are Steve's original final masters, and this Collett Collection has been created with his input and blessing. As bonuses, we've also included two unreleased instrumentals and a full Neo-Victorian Hip-Hop EP, recorded under the name of Morlock.
